Road Trip

Clayton recently had 3 weeks off from school so we took a little road trip with our friends the Wilsons to Palmyra, NY. Clayton and I hadn't been there for over 10 years. It was a last minute decision and we had trouble finding a dog-sitter for Duke so....

we brought him along. Duke should get a vacation too right? The weather is cool enough that we just left him in the car while we saw the sights or ate at a restaurant. He did great and didn't even bark. I think he sensed the consequences of what would happen if he didn't behave.

First stop: Buffalo,NY
To eat at Anchor Bar. The ORIGINAL origin of the buffalo wing.

We camped overnight somewhere in between Buffalo and Palmyra where Clayton and John tried unsuccessfully to make fire. Bummer. So we just went to bed.

Next day: Hill Cumorah

Caleb hiking up the Hill with his best buddy Ethan, who refuses to answer to anything but Mega-tron or baby Bumble Bee.

Next: Smith home and the Sacred Grove

Lastly: We returned home and later on that week went to Brandywine Falls. A very nice hiking place.
All in all. It was a very nice vacation.(even if the Mazda still isn't fixed)

Ahh to be cool, don't remember what that is, but it certainly looks lovely. What fun, I have never been any of those places. Lucky Duke!
