Caleb celebrating his 4th birthday

Whenever Caleb stops listening and starts misbehaving; I start counting. I very rarely ever get to the dreaded number three but we got there today.
 Caleb had a big meltdown and then he got worse when he learned he had earned himself a time-out. He did calm down when his time was done and we had a little talk. I told him he needed to apologize for not listening and for throwing a fit. He looked a little confused and said, "Mo-o-om. Sorry f-for not listening and th-throwing an outfit."
I just had to smile. I explained to him what "throwing a fit" meant and then he got it.
