Christmas letter 2009

Sorry I don't have everyone's address so here is a summary of our year blog style.
Oh, and see you tomorrow AZ!!

The Carpenter Family 2009

Clayton Eva Caleb Quinton Duke

Our newest addition Quinton is a very busy baby. His favorite activities include splashing in Duke water, licking toilets and eating paper. When not engaged in such activities he is an excellent cuddler. Despite being in a full leg cast from 1 week of age to 3 months and then feet braces from then on, he still managed to crawl at 6 months and is well on his way to walking before Christmas.

Caleb made it to his 3rd birthday and is now potty trained. He started preschool and enjoys making new friends and learning each day. Every sentence is usually followed by, “What does …. mean?” His favorite activities include puzzles, hide and seek, reading, cartoons, puzzles, play dough, trains, puzzles, singing, dinosaurs and more puzzles.

Clayton, in his third year, is now practicing dentistry on real people (as opposed to fake/dead ones) and survived his first crazy patient. He is preparing for a dentistry mission to the Dominican Republic this January. After 6 years of marriage, Eva’s cooking skills are really starting to rub off on Clayton while Clayton’s bad jokes are, sadly, starting to rub off on Eva.

Eva is cooking again, working as an instructor for the Viking Cooking School. She spends most days feeding children, dog and husband while simultaneously cleaning, reading, sewing, crafting, blogging, socializing, laundering and working but mostly just feeding other people. She occasionally sleeps.

Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “This time, like all times, is a very good one, if we but know what to do with it.” We hope your family has enjoyed good times this past year and wish you more good times in the years to come.

Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

Love,

The Carpenters
